Zel, the hotel brand created by Rafa Nadal and the Meliá group, begins its international expansion

Zel, the lifestyle hotel brand born from the collaboration between tennis player Rafa Nadal and the Meliá Hotels International group, has announced the signing of an agreement for its first hotel in Mexico. Under the name of Zel Sayulita, this new establishment marks an important milestone in the brand's growth strategy and its goal of bringing unique experiences inspired by the Mediterranean lifestyle to world-renowned destinations.

Sayulita, a picturesque coastal town located in the state of Nayarit, has been the place chosen for Zel's international debut. Located on the Mexican Pacific coast, Sayulita stands out for its charm and natural beauty, surrounded by exuberant tropical vegetation and golden sand beaches, such as Playa de los Muertos and Playa Carricitos, which captivates its visitors with its relaxed atmosphere and its offer of outdoor activities, especially for surf lovers.

Zel Sayulita, strategically located on the beachfront, will capture the essence of Mediterranean culture, a reflection of the passion for outdoor life - one of the fundamental pillars of the brand - combining it perfectly with Mexican warmth and hospitality. With 145 rooms, the heart of Zel Sayulita will be its large central patio, where life in the hotel will take place in a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere, being the ideal meeting point to enjoy unique moments, relax in the open air and discover the gastronomic wealth of the region through the hotel's restoration proposals.

ME by Meliá signs its third hotel in Mexico

Parallel to Zel Sayulita, Meliá Hotels International has also announced the addition of a new ME by Meliá hotel in Sayulita, which will become the third hotel for this luxury lifestyle brand in Mexico, after ME Cabo and the future ME Guadalajara. It is also a newly built hotel, whose opening is scheduled, in a first phase, for the end of this year. ME Sayulita will be located on the beachfront, very close to the famous Carricitos beach, and will have 125 rooms and villas. In addition, true to the brand's philosophy, it will offer an avant-garde luxury experience for the most experienced travelers, with three restaurants, a swimming pool, a gym, a spa, as well as a rooftop bar with a swimming pool and an extraordinary beach club by the sea.

In this way, the company reinforces its expansion in Mexico, where it currently has 7 hotels and expects to double its presence in the next two years, thanks to the 7 establishments that are in the process of opening, including the two in Sayulita.
