The leading technology platform for booking activities, day trips, guided tours and Spanish-speaking excursions around the world, both in the B2C and B2B channels, plans to reach the milestone of 10 million travelers by 2023 at the end of year, based on current sales of nearly 9 million so far this year.

This projection represents an important achievement in the internationalization strategy of the company, which has experienced substantial growth in the number of travelers in recent years.

Comparing 2023 to the last year before COVID, 2019, Civitatis has seen an increase in the number of travelers of 115%, with an impressive increase of 31% compared to 2022. These figures underline Civitatis' continued momentum and its dedication to expand its global reach and improve travel experiences for a growing base of Spanish-speaking customers around the world, including the United States.

Highlighting the destinations that earned the most bookings this year, the top 10 cities in descending order include: Rome, Paris, Madrid, Lisbon, London, Porto, Barcelona, New York, Budapest and Prague.

This significant expansion has occurred at Civitatis as a result of numerous strategic initiatives: significant staff growth has facilitated the provision of localized services and the expansion of operations in strategic regions; a substantial increase in the range of activities offered has responded to growing market demand; Civitatis has also expanded its network of service providers and increased investments in marketing efforts.

All of this has been underpinned by the 2022 strategic investment from Vitruvian Partners, which has provided the financial and strategic support necessary to accelerate international growth plans, focusing especially on expansion in Latin America and Europe.

Celebrating the achievement, Alberto Gutiérrez, founder and CEO of Civitatis, comments: "As we rapidly approach 10 million annual travelers for the first time, I would like to thank the entire Civitatis team for their commitment and innovation to achieve this, along with all our supplier partners, B2B sellers and, in addition, Vitruvian Partners for their financial support. This places us among the world's leading sellers of travel and activities by volume and is a reflection of a long-held vision of focusing on Spanish-speaking products, a "niche" overlooked by many who forget that Spanish is the most spoken first language in the world outside of China."
