By installing six new coverage antennas at the inland air terminals, at the airports of Carmelo, Rivera, Salto, Paysandú, Melo and Durazno, Flightradar24 will begin to transmit information in real time.
Users of the application will be able to monitor national air traffic 24 hours a day and obtain information on aircraft in flight, such as route, altitude, speed and type of aircraft, both general and commercial aviation.
“This alliance with a platform that is so well-known in the industry and that works with some of the best airports in the world is a commitment to continue promoting innovation in all the airports we operate. We are proud to make full coverage of air traffic possible, giving users universal access to information and helping to generate operational efficiencies,” said Damián Pera, General Aviation Manager at Aeropuertos Uruguay.
Flightradar24 is available online and as an app for iOS or Android devices. It has the largest ADS-B network in the world, with over 40,000 connected receivers and more than 2 million users per day.
