Aruba presents its Authentic Gastronomic Festival

From October 7 to 13, 2024, the local community and visitors to the island will experience this festival

This October, the happy island of Aruba invites you to enjoy the Authentic Food Festival, a journey of flavors that celebrates the best of its diverse culinary heritage. With over 100 nationalities represented on the island, this event promises an unparalleled Caribbean feast, highlighting everything from haute cuisine to
hidden culinary gems.

Aruba has gained worldwide recognition for its incredible culinary scene, fusing influences from Europe, Latin America, the Caribbean and Asia. At this festival, attendees will be able to delight in unique dishes that highlight the island's cultural diversity, prepared by local and international chefs.

A feast for all tastes
From fresh seafood straight from the shores of Aruba to traditional dishes such as keshi yena (stuffed chicken), the festival offers something for everyone. The culinary offering will include not only traditional Aruban cuisine, but also innovative menus with a modern twist that reflect the fusion of global flavours that characterises the island.

In addition, the festival is proud to announce the participation of renowned international chefs who will join this exceptional culinary event. Highlights include:

Álvaro Clavijo, one of Colombia's most influential chefs, famous for his innovative approach to contemporary Colombian cuisine.

Antonia Lofaso, internationally renowned chef and television personality, known for her bold style and participation in popular cooking shows.

Martin Riese, one of the world's leading water experts, will bring his unique expertise in water tasting, a trend that has captured global attention.

These talented chefs, together with top local cooks, will create unforgettable dining experiences that reflect the diversity of Aruban cuisine and its fusion with global influences.

The Authentic Aruba Food Festival will be divided into two parts:

Autentico Restaurant Week: From Monday, October 7 through Friday, October 11, participating restaurants will feature their own menus, special offers or unique events that will be posted on the event calendar on the Auténtico website.

Wilhelminastraat Food Weekend: This event will take place over the weekend of October 12th and 13th, under the beautiful night stars on the historic Wilhelminastraat in downtown Oranjestad.
