The objective of the course was to share with the participants knowledge, tools, skills and to provide an opportunity to discuss and put into practice the relevant topics of governance and the development of the tourism model.
Forty attendees from Aguascalientes, Baja California, Campeche, Chiapas, Chihuahua, Mexico City, Guanajuato, Hidalgo, Jalisco, Morelos, Nayarit, Nuevo Leon, Puebla, Queretaro, Quintana Roo, San Luis Potosi, Tamaulipas, Veracruz and Zacatecas participated. in addition to eight international participants from Argentina, Brazil and Ecuador.

To promote the updating and professional specialization of personnel from institutions and companies in the public, social and private sectors related to tourism, from November 5 to 9, the course of the World Tourism Organization was held in the state of Zacatecas. (OMT) "Tourism and digital transformation, impacts on the development of the tourism model".

The Secretary of Tourism (Sectur) through the Institute of Tourism Competitiveness (Ictur) and the UNWTO, with these tasks seek to contribute to the strengthening of the competitive capacity of the tourism sector, through academic extension activities in coordination with entities and competent institutions.

The objective of the course was to share knowledge, tools and skills with the participants, and to open an opportunity to discuss and put into practice the relevant issues of governance and the development of the tourism model.

For the eighteenth time, this knowledge tool became a reference not only for Latin America and Brazil, but also for the governments of the entities of our country, in such a way that the State Administrations of Tourism, request year after year more spaces for the participation of its officials.

It should be remembered that in order to promote the exchange of international experiences and to provide specialized training on the subject, the Sectur for 18 years has been carrying out this collaborative training model, aimed at both federal, state and municipal public servants, related to the tourist activity, as well as officials of the Spanish and Brazilian-speaking National Tourism Administrations; in addition to employees of mixed organizations directly linked to the management of tourist destinations.

It is important to mention that this training model plays an important role in the international cooperation efforts made by Tourism in tourism.

During the four days of the course, the topics addressed were from innovation in destination management, digitalization of marketing processes and promotion of a destination, innovation in tourism products, to how to obtain data on a small scale and world to generate market intelligence.

This time it was attended by 40 national assistants from Aguascalientes, Baja California, Campeche, Chiapas, Chihuahua, Mexico City, Guanajuato, Hidalgo, Jalisco, Morelos, Nayarit, Nuevo Leon, Puebla, Queretaro, Quintana Roo, San Luis Potosí, Tamaulipas, Veracruz and Zacatecas, in addition to eight international participants from Argentina, Brazil, and Ecuador.
