Hotelga opens its doors in Buenos Aires
The annual meeting of the hotel and gastronomy opened its doors before the main professionals and suppliers of the gastronomic, hotel and tourism industry of Argentina
The Association of Tourism Hotels of the Argentine Republic (AHT), the Gastronomic Hotel Business Federation of the Argentine Republic (FEHGRA) and Ferias Argentinas SA inaugurated the XVII edition of Hotelga, an event that brings the latest developments and trends in products and services of the main suppliers of the hotel and gastronomic sector of the country.
A full room, in a ceremony headed by the Secretary of Government of Tourism of the Nation and President of the National Institute of Tourism Promotion, Lic. Gustavo Santos; Dr. Graciela Fresno, President of the Gastronomic Hotel Business Federation of the Argentine Republic (FEHGRA); Mg Roberto Amengual, President of the Tourism Hotel Association (AHT); José María Arrúa, President of the Federal Tourism Council (CFT); Aldo Elías, President of the Argentine Chamber of Tourism (CAT) and Gonzalo Páez, Director of Ferias Argentinas S.A; Hotelga was formally inaugurated.
Also present were the Secretary of Technological Innovation and Tourism Quality of the Nation, Lic. Gustavo Reartes; the sub-secretaries of the Ministry of Tourism of the Nation, Lic. Pablo Casals, Lic. Fernando García Soria and Mg. German Baker; Mr. Dante Camaño Secretary General of UTHGRA.
The presence of national authorities and provincial tourism authorities of Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Jujuy, San Juan and the City of Buenos Aires was appreciated, as well as presidents and executives of fellow entities and related to the tourism sector.
The presence of the members of the steering committees that make up the Association of Tourism Hotels of the Argentine Republic (AHT), the Gastronomic Hotel Business Federation of the Argentine Republic (FEHGRA), as well as its former presidents, presidents and executives of entities that are part of the entities in the Argentine provinces. Mg Roberto Amengual, president of the Tourism Hotel Association (AHT) was in charge of welcoming the twelfth annual meeting of the hotel and gastronomy. He also thanked all the colleagues who accompanied and continue to place confidence in the country and hold the jobs.

For his part, Dr. Graciela Fresno, president of the Gastronomic Hotel Business Federation of the Argentine Republic (FEHGRA); He said the fair has become a key meeting of the gastronomic hotel sector with its suppliers. He then remarked / referred to the confidence placed and the effort to be present again despite the difficulties faced by companies in the country.
He highlighted the contribution of international speakers who will talk about current issues and give the keys to enhance direct sales through the data. And he announced the launch, in this edition of HOTELGA, of the 2020 National Design Award in public spaces of the hotel and gastronomy.
HOTELGA was visited by the head of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, who toured the exhibition and talked with the organizers.

During the day the "Federal Chefs Tournament" began, where 18 teams of professional chefs from all over the country will recreate the new Argentine cuisine on their plates. This year the renowned Argentine Chef Paulo Airaudo, will be the leading jury of the tournament.
On the second day the winners of the Argentina Sustainable Hospitality Contest 2019 will be announced, which rewards hotels that promote good sustainable practices in the tourism and hotel sector and students who, through their innovative ideas, invite providers and tourists to Promote the care of resources. In its 8th edition, 42 projects from hotel establishments and universities from more than 20 tourist destinations throughout the country participated.
On the other hand, the Great Knowledge Forum will continue, a series of conferences and seminars applied to hotel and gastronomy development by specialists who will build a learning space, knowledge exchange and new ideas.
