Almundo and his travelers reaffirmed their social commitment to UNICEF
"Two years ago we are contributing to enhance the transformation; changing the lives of many children and adolescents," said Juan Pablo Lafosse, CEO of the omnichannel travel company
Almundo, the largest omnichannel travel company in Latin America, resumed its commitment assumed in 2018 with UNICEF, offering its travelers the possibility of making micro donations and thus collaborating so that the country's most vulnerable children and adolescents have a future best.
The way to make micro donations is extremely simple and allows travelers to easily make their contribution by completing their online purchase process and in all branches. These donations contribute to various UNICEF programs, such as the Rural Secondary Technology-mediated initiative.
Currently in the country there are 65,000 teenagers living in rural areas where there is no offer of high school. For this reason, UNICEF together with the provincial governments of Chaco, Jujuy, Misiones, Salta, Santiago del Estero and Tucumán developed this project that guarantees access to quality secondary education and the development of digital skills for adolescents residing in hard to reach places
“In Almundo, we are convinced that, through travel, we transform people. And transforming people, we transform the world. Thanks to the alliance with UNICEF and the collaboration of our travelers, two years ago we are contributing to enhance the transformation; changing the lives of many children and adolescents, ”said Juan Pablo Lafosse, CEO at Almundo.
To achieve this common goal, UNICEF trained the sales force and Almundo Experts on the importance of donating. In addition, the company generated a donation instance at its first exclusive tourism fair called Almundo Day.
“The private sector is an essential ally in society for the fulfillment of the rights of children and adolescents, and contributes to bringing UNICEF's message closer to the community. This alliance with Almundo allows its travelers to channel their solidarity spirit and enables UNICEF to reach more children in the country every day through its projects, ”said Pablo Ferreyra, Manager of Corporate Alliances and CSR of UNICEF Argentina.
